Moon: Scorpio

((Can I ask why? I’m curious for the choices.

I pegged Roy as a Gemini, but I think that’s because myself and three other Roys are all Geminis.))

I guess I could see Roy as a Gemini, too. I’ve always seen him as more of a Taurus, but yeah, I could see both. Anyway, I got my reasoning from one of my favorite astrology sites. And of course, not all of it is accurate to his character and I think a lot of sites/books have slightly different interpretations of each sign.

But here’s for a Taurus man: http://personalityseries.wordpress.com/2008/09/04/taurus-man/
——

For the Taurus/Rising Taurus:

You are energetic and creative, also strong and with the broadest of shoulders. You stand out in a crowd, are sociable and very dynamic. Responsibility seems to come to visit you early in life but you are always up to the task. You gain considerable worldliness because of the above early experience and make a natural leader.

This Astrology combination is basically quite a conservative soul and genuinely respects authority and power of the establishment from an early age. You also see enormous potential for yourself in or near the part of society. From then you strive to get a lot of money and power for yourself in the future.

You are patient and will wait a long time to get something. In fact you might wait till later in life to marry because generally you are in no hurry, you usually want to get your finances settled first. You have a lot of pride and may be quite vain.

A business attached to the earth or land is best for you because it is second nature to your essence, OK 1st [double EARTH here]. You understand that everybody has to sleep or have a place for them and their family to live, so why not provide that service and make a large profit in the process. You could get very wealthy from farm or ranch ownership, building grand housing developments, or building or owing enormous hotel properties or resorts.

In love and relationships you are affectionate, loyal, passionate and very sexual. A family, home and children are indicated. You could have occasional anger fits, where you act like a child when it comes to not getting your way in family matters.
——

Taurus/Leo moon:
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces a strong determined will, well defined opinions, and a very forthright, honest, and fearless personality. There is much pride tied up in your nature. You respect others, but you listen to yourself and trust your personal abilities first and foremost. Not tending to rely on your intellect alone, you depend more on your hunches, and your key to success should be your high self-esteem. Creativity and pragmatism mark your nature, giving you an excellent sense of how things should be constructed, organized, or planned. You are a good manager or boss, and people respond well to working for you. At your best you are persistent, sure and reliable. Personal confidence and pride can at times cause you to be domineering and inflexible in attitude, and you possess strong likes and dislikes. Because you are usually so steady and consistent, you rarely blow up. You can be critical, but in a fair and constructive way. Wanting things done your way, you don’t like to have your action very closely monitored or scrutinized, although you are not above doing this to others. Too your few close friends, you are trustworthy, honest, and devoted. You seem to like or dislike people because of instinctive feelings about them rather than for matters you have reasoned out. This is a very fixed and stable personality, but in the early part of your life you probably had tendencies toward extremes. Throughout your life it will always be important for you to double check decisions and avoid overestimating possibilities because of confidence or pride. Behind the spirited, but pridefully impulsive qualities in your personality is a practical, solid, determined internal nature that serves you much better.

Sorry that’s a lot to read xD And like I said, it’s always subject to interpretation. I’ve just always seen Roy as a very grounded person and Gemini strikes me as too flighty for him sometimes.

“It kills me how everyone is bashing the 1st anime nowadays. The ending wasn’t ALL there was to it! There are hundreds of moments in it that still literally take my breath away from the sheer, heartfelt beauty and emotion, and THAT is what I hold onto when I think of the anime. And the same goes for Brotherhood. I have multiple issues with that one too, but I choose to hold onto the scenes they did RIGHT instead. I think if more fans did that - with BOTH versions - there wouldn’t be so many stupid, pointless fanwars over which one is “better”.”

Agreed. I was actually almost turned off from watching Brotherhood at all back when it was first starting because everyone immediately started bashing on the first series. The first series is beautiful too, and I may never have gotten as close with my first best friend than I did. Which probably would have led to me not having a lot of the friends now. Which would probably have lead to me being very depressed right now or dead. So…It’s okay if you legitimately did not like the first series for whatever, but discrediting the entire series just because the ending may have been a little jank is just stupid.

“I will never understand how Ed, a teenage boy with a metal hand, is able to braid his own hair in about five seconds.”

Practice. Although now I want to see a fanart of him trying to braid it and getting some of his hair caught in the metal haha.

“I may ship manga!canon pairings, but I can’t stand anyone who bashes other pairings at all. Fandom is great because subtext (which FMA practically oozes) is so much fun to play with! The second any fan, regardless of medium, starts harping on why another pairing is “wrong”, I dive for the back button. I’m here for fun, not hatred.”

“When I watched Fullmetal the series the first time, Nina and Hughes’ deaths made me cry. However, almost two years ago I lost the one person that meant the most to be. I recently rewatched the whole series, and when Trisha died, I could barely breathe because I was crying so hard. I can identify so much with Ed and Al’s pain, and it upsets me so much that they were so young…”

I offer my sincerest sympathies :( No one deserves that kind of pain, but I agree that when you factor in the boys’ ages, it just makes it that much more heart-wrenching.
